Research

Marine and Coastal Engineering

Working in the Ports and Harbours Group of Coastal and Offshore (Ocean) Engineering Laboratory of Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS) and involved in applied and basic research, using both mathematical and physical models, and has gained experience in following:

·         Application of mathematical models for River, Estuarine and Coastal hydrodynamics, sediment transport.

·         Associated with mathematical modeling of Hugli Estuary (Kolkata), Cochin, Andaman Nicobar Island, Karanja (Mumbai) etc.

·         Physical modeling of tidal hydrodynamics for port and harbour layouts

·         Siltation and maintenance dredging aspects of harbour basins and navigation channels in various ports in India.

·         Modeling of urban (Mumbai) flooding in coastal areas including storm surge.

·         Project guide for M.Tech and B.Tech Students.

·         Handled about 20 projects of various ports and harbours
