I am a Geographical Information System (GIS) specialist having specialization in different aspects of comprehensive and systematic GIS database creation, analysis and project implementation. My area of expertise includes GIS & Remote Sensing based Landuse/Landcover preparation; Numerical modelling of Storm surges and Tsunami, including coastal flood hazard induced by climate change - rising sea levels. My areas of experience span across sectors like Flood modelling, Coastal Regulation Zone demarcation, DGPS survey, Groundwater recharge zonation, DEM based watershed delineation and natural resource management. I am also experienced in implementation and monitoring of GIS and Remote Sensing components in various projects which includes capacity building of relevant experts in the executing and implementing agencies. I have been working as a Lead Researcher (India) on a project funded by IRDR International Center of Excellence, Taipei and International START Secretariat. I have more than 14 years of experience in GIS & Remote Sensing and numerical modelling of coastal disaster and two years of flood modelling. My geographical area of experience spans across various countries such as India, Taipei China, Vietnam and Norway.
