Now I am working (part time) as the Engagement Manager for Oceans Finance Company and also a as a free lance consultant in environment, public policy, public law and international legislation. My professional background is on law and public policy. I am the former Minister President of the Special Regime of Galapagos (2019/2021), and I was one of the leaders of the Declaration of the new marine reserve Hermandad, in the insular Economic Exclusive Zone of Ecuador. I had been involved actively for 30 years in politics and public policy in my country. As an elected Delegate to the Constituent Assembly member in 2008, I was one of the strongest promoter of the rights of nature and also of the Buen Vivir regime, that is in the constitutional text since 2008. I am a permanent resident from the Galapagos Islands, but right now I am living in Quito.
