Dr. Adil Sidahmed Omer Ahmed is a Fisheries and Marine Biologist specializing in Fisheries Sciences and Biological Oceanography, and an experienced environmental consultant with over twenty years of professional experience. His expertise spans fisheries management, biological oceanography, marine and coastal environments, environmental impact assessment (EIA), and sustainable development.
He currently serves as a Fisheries and Environmental Consultant and Head of the Research and Development Department at Sustainable Technology Solutions Company in the United Arab Emirates, where he contributes to the preparation of environmental studies, project feasibility assessments, and the development of practical, science-based solutions aimed at protecting natural resources and promoting sustainability.
Academically, Dr. Adil served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Red Sea University (Sudan), where he was a key academic contributor for several years. His responsibilities included teaching, academic supervision, and curriculum development. He also holds the position of Researcher at the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) at the same university, actively contributing to applied research and capacity building in marine and environmental sciences.
In addition, he has worked as a part-time lecturer at several Sudanese universities, including Sudan Open University and the University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Adil also serves as a national expert and member of the Technical Committee for Fish and Fisheries at the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO), where he has contributed to the development and revision of national standards and specifications. Throughout his professional career, he has chaired and participated in numerous technical and advisory committees both within and outside Sudan and has contributed to scientific reports submitted to institutions such as the Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resources, the Sudanese Environmental Conservation Society, the UNESCO (Sudan Office), and the Zayed Sustainability Prize.
He is a member of several national and international scientific associations and has authored numerous research papers and scientific publications in both Arabic and English in the fields of fisheries sciences, environmental studies, and sustainable development.
