Currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the Ocean Policy Research Institute of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (笹川平和財団海洋政策研究所),  I focus on the ocean science-policy-society interface and evidence-based decision-making, with projects spanning private sector engagement, UN ocean policy, school programs, ocean literacy, and natural language processing.

I previously served as a consultant for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (UNESCO-IOC), leading coordination efforts for the Asian node of the Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOP) Programme, an endorsed Action of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).

I also play an active role in the North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES), championing science diplomacy and meaningful early-career engagement, supporting the integration of human dimensions into North Pacific ocean science and policy, and fostering institutional collaboration.
