Prof.Dr. Zaytsev has developed a tsunami generation
and propagation code NAMI DANCE in collaboration with Prof. Ahmet Yalciner,
Prof. Efim Pelinovsky and Prof. Dr. Andrey Kukin and installed this code to the
Malaysia Tsunami Warning system as an efficient supplementary tool.
The low and high tsunami risk in Black sea area
were determined. The applicant took active part in the field survey in
Indonesia (Sumatra) after catastrophic tsunami of December 26, 2004, and
performed numerical modeling of this event in the Indian Ocean. Results of this
study are published and Prof. Yalciner is co-author. Dr. Zaytsev has directed international training course on
tsunami numerical modeling which has been organized by UNESCO in Malaysia Kuala
Lumpur in May, 2006 (two weeks) and June 2006 (two weeks) in Belgium Oostende.
Prof. Zaytsev took active part in the field survey in Indonesia (Sulawesi)
after catastrophic tsunami of September 28, 2018, and performed numerical
modeling of this event.
