Summary

Expert meeting aimed at understanding the tsunamigenic sources associated with the Hellenic Arc and the Azores-Gibraltar Fault Zone in the Northeastern Atlantic and Mediterranean region. 
 
During this meeting, experts will leverage their experience and knowledge of local tectonics and tsunami generation. The goal is to review the existing  databases on credible tsunami sources that could significantly impact the NEAM (Northeastern Atlantic and Mediterranean) coastlines andwhich can then be used for tsunami modelling, evacuation planning, and related exercises. The final report from this meeting will synthesis and outline the seismic sources identified by the experts as posing the highest tsunami risk to nearby coastlines. 
 
The meeting will be moderated by an Individual Consultant Dr. Dr Gerassimos A. Papadopoulos.
