Activities of the Hydro-Climate and Ocean Centre
The Hydro-Climate and Ocean Centre supports research, capacity development, and collaborative initiatives on hydro-climatic and oceanic systems to strengthen climate-resilient and sustainable development. Its key activities include:
• Offering advanced training in hydrometeorology, oceanography, numerical modeling, climate data analysis, remote sensing, GIS, and programming (Python, R), including Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO) applications.
• Conducting Blue Capacity Programs to enhance professional skills, promote knowledge exchange, and expand networking opportunities.
• Promoting national and international collaboration among researchers, institutions, policymakers, and early-career professionals across Earth, Ocean, and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) disciplines.
• Facilitating participation in global seminars, workshops, training courses, and summer schools.
• Providing regular updates on current research, publications, and sector-relevant events in hydrometeorology, ocean science, maritime governance, and ocean prediction.
