The Mauritius Institute of Biotechnology Ltd (MIBL) is a government institution mandated to spearhead the development of the biotechnology sector, encompassing medical, agricultural, marine, industrial, and environmental applications.  Operating under the purview of the Ministry Tertiary Education, Science and Research, MIBL provides technical facilitation for implementation of biotech projects, finances projects, advises ministries in the matters of biotech ecosystem development, formulates concrete policy recommendations and acts to foster a conducive and competitive biotech environment in Mauritius. We serve as a crucial interface between government, academia, industry, and international partners, driving innovation and project implementation.
