Activities
I am a lecture of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Universitas Brawijaya since 1994. Since 2009, have my students increase from 90 to 160 students. I teach some courses, such as Oceanography, Fisheries Oceanography, and climate change and marine ecosystem. Since Climate change becomes the big issues recently, it is needed to give students climate change knowledge, its impact to earth, living organism, human, and has responsibility to reduce the climate change impact by utilizing the nature wisely. I also actively do some researches and monitoring in decreasing some small pelagic fishes mainly Bali Sardinella due to climatic event such as La Nina and IOD- in Bali Strait and East Java. Collapsing of Bali Sardinella in 2010 and continued in 2017 were followed of the economics collapsing of Balinese. Based on this problem, our team published some related articles and disseminated them to the government and fishermen to share the our invention and solution. However, it is not easy. We cannot do alone. We need collaboration. We need enlarge our network to solve the global problem.
