Activities
The bioinformatics group of Applied Biology division from CSIR-IICT is actively engaged in:
- Spatial mapping of Vector-borne diseases distribution using ArcGIS(Malaria, Dengue, Chikungunya, Zika)
- Analysing the relationship between both local climatic effects and remote atmospheric teleconnections on the incidence of malaria in India including potential lag effects.
- Geospatial mapping of risks of malaria epidemics in relation to El Niño and Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in India.
- Studying the correlations between malaria in India and sea surface temperatures around the globe, which affect atmospheric circulation and weather patterns.
