Activities
Penang Meteorological Office was established in February 1978 and is located in Penang International Airport.
It consists of Butterworth Meteorological Office, Seberang Perai Meteorological Office and a network of 6 meteorological surface stations and 1 upper air station was established to serve the primary function of continuous weather monitoring and to provide the necessary meteorological data for weather forecast in the northern area of Peninsular Malaysia.
