The GOOS Scientific and Technical Committee (GSSC) advises the Intergovernmental-GOOS governing board on scientific and technical matters including strategy, implementation and pilot projects. The committee meets annually and is comprised of members appointed by the GOOS sponsoring organizations, representatives of these sponsors, representatives of partner organizations and invited scientific experts.
