Activities
My research focuses on quantitative fisheries science, with particular emphasis on the assessment and sustainable management of marine living resources. My work integrates statistical modelling, fish population dynamics, stock assessment, CPUE standardization, and spatio-temporal analysis to support evidence-based fisheries management. I apply advanced quantitative methods, including delta-GLM, Bayesian state-space models, spatio-temporal modelling frameworks (sdmTMB, VAST, INLA), Bayesian stock assessment models (JABBA), and stochastic surplus production models (SPiCT). My research is primarily applied to the assessment of Senegalese deep-water shrimp (Parapenaeus longirostris), aiming to improve the understanding of their spatio-temporal dynamics and contribute to the sustainable exploitation and management of marine resources.
