Physical Oceanography
I am a Physical Oceanographer with lots of Geophysical Fluid Dynamics ideas. I work with oceanographic observations of ocean structures like eddies, internal waves, bottom boundary currents and gravity currents. I try to identify how these processes contribute to ocean mixing and if this can be important both regionally or globally.
I also have a lot of interest in tsunamis from the typical to the non-so-typical.

I really enjoy working with students, I think that sharing the love for the ocean processes with the new generations can be extremely rewarding. Most of the students that worked with me are now my colleagues and they all have amazing new skills and so much more to share to the scientific community.
