Activities
Monitor artisanal and subsistence fishing in RMPPO;
Investigate the level of exploitation of indicator species (mangrove and blue crab) including laboratory processing of samples under the supervision of the technical team;
Allocation and control of fishing gear and production of fishing units in RMPPO during monitoring and scientific investigation;
Monitoring of mangroves and seagrass along coastal zone;
Participate and assist in fauna segregation processes at the CTV;
Solve problems linked to flora and fauna at an organizational and local level, to apply preventive measures;
Assist with data analysis at the CTV headquarters office;
Assist in producing the final report for the donor institution;
Produce a partial report of evaluation of my school work during the working period of the project (6 months after).
Skills
Excellent use of computational tools, word processors, and spreadsheets; Analysis and synthesis capacity; In-depth knowledge of Microsoft packages: word, excel, PowerPoint, access, and Outlook; Ability to take risks; Knowledge of using programs: ArGis, ArcMap, GoogleEarth, etc; Firm in calculations, budgeting and preparing reports; Ability to participate in the national and international conferences; Knowledge of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies); Competence to work with and for people; Ability to produce a full scientific report of any nature and Ability to solve problems and plan.
