I work on:
- Fisheries biology of the dominant fish species in the Egyptian Mediterranean Sea as well as the invasive species from the Red Sea.
- Stock assessment and management of fish species in the Mediterranean waters of Egypt.
- Teaching of various fisheries-related courses for the undergraduate students of the school years from 2016/2017 to 2018/2019. The courses are; Ichthyology, Fisheries Biology, Fish Population Dynamics, Fisheries Science, Fisheries Statistics, Fishing Gear Technology.
- Supervising of fisheries graduation projects of the final-year students of the undergraduate level.
Mediterranean Sea - Eastern Basin
- Expert user of some fisheries softwares: e.g. LFDA, VIT as well as VPA based models.
- Good user of fisheries data exploration and analysis using R programming language.
- Fair knowledge of some statistical program related to fisheries research.
- Familiar with fishing operations using different fishing gears (Trawling, Purse Seining using lights, Trammel and Gill nets).
- Sampling procedures, Deployment & Retrieving of instruments and Data analysis.
- Writing skills of scientific reports and research papers.
- Assisting in the preparation of the basic course of Ichthyology and Fisheries Biology for Egyptian & foreigner students.
