I would like to be involved in developing efficient and economic tools in ecological studies that enable early identification of threats and their warning signals. Combining different types of biomarkers and screening other biologically active compounds present in water are my individual interest. Innovative approaches can offer the unique opportunity to quantify and identify biogeochemical processes and their rates, pathways in organisms and the substrate. I am also very interested in microalgae biotechnology and in algal biomass potential that is only partially understood and utilized, especially from economic perspective, and could bring alternative energy solutions.

The training I obtained required observation, precision and accuracy, and team work. I was taught to have high expectations from myself and to perform high quality work. The type of position I am seeking would allow me to be creative, and to interact with scientists from different fields. In my understanding, an interdisciplinary approach makes research more interesting and effective, with greater impact.
