Degree Ph.D.
Research Activities Trace element geochemistry of dis-solved and particulate materials in the marine environment. Process-es controlling elemental fluxes at major marine interfaces - estuaries; surface waters; sediments; suspended particles; ridgecrest hydro-thermal systems. Nutrient and trace metal cycles in fresh water environ-ments. Trace metal chemistry in evolved hydrothermal plumes; geochemistry and limnology of Crater Lake, OR; chemistry of settling biogenic materials and the preservation of "tracers" of this material in the sediment record; use of Laser Ablation ICPMS for studies of Mn-nodule geochemistry.
