PROFESSIONAL DATA

Degree PhD
Research Area(s) Biological Oceanography, Marine Ecology , Biological Oceanography, Marine Ecology
Research Activities My current research interests include: 1) The ecology of diadromous fish species and its relationships with anthropogenic activities, 2) Contamination of The European eel by heavy metals and relationships with the incidence of the nematode parasite Anguillicola crassus, 3) Trophic relationships of estuarine and diadromous fishes, and 4) Management and rehabilitation of the European eel population.
Research Region 36, 70
Skills/Expertise Ecology of aquatic communities with special interest on the biology and ecology of fish and its relation with biotic and environmental conditions. The effects of habitat degradation on estuarine fish and macroinvertebrate communities; My interest is the ecology of fishes (mainly diadromous fish species) and their relationships with anthropogenic activities has contributed to gain knowledge on management issues and conservation measures.
