Research Activities Dr. Seppo Kaitala is the Leading Scientist of Operative phytoplankton monitoring “Alg@line” at the Department of the State of Marine Environment in the Marine Research Centre /SYKE and participates MARCOAST/ESA GMES Information Service program (2006-)and MyOcean In situ TAC. Dr Kaitala has been the responsible scientist the EU project Ferrybox and currently in Jerico EU project (2011-).
