Research Activities Doing monthly coral reef monitoring both in Gulf of Mannar and Palk Bay since 2003. Bio-physical status of corals, reef fishes and associated fauna are assessed regularly to make a baseline data. These data was useful to assess the 2002 bleaching impact and 2004 tsunami impact.
