Activities

The School covers a range of academic disciplines across all areas of biology, environment, environmental health, geography and wildlife conservation, supported by recently-refurbished laboratories (check out our virtual tour) and well-equipped field sites. Lecture theatres and teaching rooms have also been upgraded, including fully networked computer suites and widespread wi-fi. The School is a thriving centre and each year welcomes about 300 students to our various full-time undergraduate degree courses. We have more than 40 academic staff, many of whom are nationally- and internationally-known for their research expertise, which helps keep our course content up to date. We aim to provide small and friendly tutorial groups and well-staffed laboratory classes.
