I´m received her Doctor of Philosophy degree on Ecology and Sustainable Development, from El Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR) in 2020, with the thesis “Evaluation of the sustainability of the socio-ecological fishing systems of Campeche”.
Between 2020 and 2021 i´m published the scientific articles: “The sustainability of small-scale fisheries in oil-producing sections of the Gulf of Mexico”; “Socio-ecological systems as a management unit: the case of the fisheries of Campeche, Mexico”; and “Advances in the study of Mexican fisheries with the social-ecological system (SES) perspective and its inclusion in fishery management policy”.
i´m now my postdoctoral project at the EPOMEX-UAC, my interest area being focused on the small-scale fisheries and community tourism in the protected coastal areas of Campeche, said areas including the Celestún Biosphere Reserve, the Petenes Biosphere Reserve, and the Flora and Fauna Protection Area of the Laguna de Términos. I´m at present a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), candidate level.
